How to Apply

Please complete the brief online application form. This will allow us to understand your background, your scientific interest, and what you wish to accomplish. Make sure to list your preferred internship projects in order of preference, and to upload all required documents. The annual intern application cycle typically opens in Autumn and closes in Winter.

Eligibility Requirements

The Student Research Internships are open to non-local, matriculated university students studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the fields of Life Science, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics or Engineering.

To be considered, students should have an excellent academic performance record. Bachelor students must have completed at least 4 semesters of their studies before starting the internship. Students must be officially enrolled at a home university during the internship period. High proficiency in English is mandatory.

Admission Process

Compliance with applicable eligibility requirements is first determined by the IMPRS Program Coordinator. Subsequently, applications are reviewed by any group leaders currently offering internship placements. We will conduct online interviews and may contact your referee before making a decision. Formal offers to participate in our IMPRS Student Research Internship program are made by the IMPRS Program Coordinator.
